Born and raised in downtown Toronto, Canada, I had little access or exposure to agriculture. My parents would send me to summer camps in the forest where my passion for environmental protection surely grew. I attended Trent University for Environmental Science and Ryerson University for Post Graduate Studies in Applied Digital Geography and GIS. After school, I worked on a farm in Ontario and one in Brazil. I then became a part time yoga teacher, started volunteering more and started my own back yard farming business. It was then that I found a group of people looking for help in establishing Canada’s Chapter of the CSAYN. I find the connection between countries and groups truly inspiring and am always working towards improving the world around me.
